Wyoming Right to Life
I received a BA in Psychology from Yale University, a BA in History and Social Sciences from Thomas Edison State College, and a Master's degree in Business, specializing in Healthcare Administration, from the University of Wisconsin.
I took US History at the University of Wyoming to meet my US and Wyoming Constitutions requirement as a Social Studies teacher.
I worked in healthcare for ten years in four states----hospitals, long-term care, public health, and private practice. I have worked all three shifts, cleaned up a lot of strange fluids, and pushed paper with the best of them.
I taught at Noah Webster Christian School in Cheyenne, WY for eight years-- high school Social Studies (U.S. History, World History, Geography, and U.S. Government) and Spanish. Every student in my Government class got their own personal copy of the Constitution.
Now I own La Frontera Language Services, providing Spanish-English translation, editing and market research for individuals, businesses, and non-profit agencies. I have worked with clients in North and South America, Europe, and Asia.
I do my own accounting and tax preparation, so I understand the burdens that government places on small (and large) businesses.
my family & life
I grew up in Wisconsin, where I acquired a life-long fondness for cheese and football. I met my husband, Bob, while I was working at a hospital in New Orleans and he was serving in the Coast Guard.
Bob was a graduate of East High School in Cheyenne, and we voted absentee in Wyoming until Bob retired from the Coast Guard and we moved back to Cheyenne in 2001. We have been married for 32 years and have two grown children., a son-in-law in the Marines, and a full-of-fun 2-year-old granddaughter.
I enjoy camping with my family, hunting, hiking, and the challenges of gardening in Cheyenne. I am a life member of the NRA, and also a member of the Cheyenne Rifle and Pistol Club (just finished a term on the Board).
I am a precinct committeewoman for the Laramie County Republican Party, 2012 and 2016 delegate to the Republican State Convention, past president of a Cheyenne Toastmasters club, and have been active in my church as treasurer, board member, teacher, and musician. I joined the Laramie County Cowbelles to keep up with my cattle-ranching constituents.
